Dyslexia does not have to limit a full and extraordinary life. There are many dyslexics who have thrived despite their struggles.

Adults and Children diagnosed with dyslexia can face many challenges.

Some dyslexics have succeeded by coping strategies and were able to boost their self-confidence and learn to overcome their difficulties.  These individuals inspire and have expanded beyond their possibilities by being able to tap into their amazing creativity, that is held in the dyslexic mind.

People struggles with dyslexia are highly creative, intuitive and excel at three-dimensional problem-solving. Their visual learning style means they learn best through a creative process. When dyslexics use learning methods that fit their thinking style, they can excel.

Sir Richard Branson is an extraordinary individual who has dyslexia.  As a dyslexic individual, his life story is empowering and awe-inspiring. Sir Richard Branson was a high school dropout at the age of 15. He went on to become a world-renowned billionaire investor, business magnate, author and philanthropist.

He started Virgin Records (Virgin Megastores), Virgin Atlantic airlines and in 2004 founded spaceflight corporation Virgin Galactic (which will provide suborbital spaceflights to tourists as well as scientific missions in space), Virgin fuel, Virgin mobile, Virgin Media, Virgin Comics and Virgin Animation, Virgin Health Bank just to name a few of his accomplishments. He is also a world-renowned adventurer.

He has said self-determination and hard work is inside all of us. He believes that it is possible with hard work to be successful. Sir Richard Branson has brought awareness and inspiration to individuals with dyslexia. He is a positive voice for young people who have dyslexia.  He often speaks out about being dyslexic, and how it actually was a big advantage to his success.

His advice is to focus on the things you excel in often. And if you do what you love you will be successful.  

He regards his failures as a wonderful way of learning. You should give something a shot rather than not at all. It is most important to believe in yourself. You hold the power to succeed.

  1.   Find your passions and pursue them doggedly. Everyone has something valuable to bring to the table
  2. Do your best. Your best is always good enough and the only person you should be comparing yourself to is yourself. Always aim to beat your own personal best and to keep progressing.
  3. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It took starting a business for me to realize how important it is to ask for help. We all have different strengths and we should work together to bring these out in each other
